Welcoming Brand Ambassador Isabel Warner from Yorkshire, UK!

How did you get into surveying? When I graduated my Part 1 architecture degree I knew I wanted to work a position where I could continue to develop my GIS and software skills, while learning practically from the industry and be able to work outside. As an assistant geospatial surveyor and I doing all of those things.

What are your plans as a Brand Ambassador? I have a background working with children. I have previously worked as a in house carer for 2 teenagers with autism as well as volunteering in a community kitchen helping children and families. I also worked in a primary school as a TA with 1:1 duties across several years developing lessons and school environments. During this time a lot of my activities were based on my knowledge of architecture and got see how they can be developed for different age ranges. While I am working int he position I am now I am looking at ways I can still work with children. Connecting schools with projects like this are invaluable.

Tell us a bit about what you do: I collect data from site, bring it back to the office and utilising point clouds model areas of land, buildings and systems to send off to clients or through to our architects.

Anything else you’d like to add? I have background working with children in 1:1 and classroom environments. I think it is important to enable them to be curious about the world around them. I have a range of interests from architecture, surveying and conservation.
