How did you get into surveying? My husband and Co-Director founded our drone surveying company after a long career in construction. As the business grew, I became involved in operations, marketing and client relationships. Working together, we’ve developed a passion for using drone technology to support the construction and surveying industries.
What are your plans as a Brand Ambassador? I want to inspire young people to consider surveying as an exciting and rewarding career. We plan to work with local schools an our local charity Legacy Youth Zone whom we support and to introduce students to drone surveying through talks, demonstrations and hands-on activities.
Tell us a bit about what you do: At Airtek Surveys we provide, Drone roof inspections, Construction progress monitoring, Condition surveys and reporting, Aerial photography & videography, Orthomosaic mapping and photogrammetry, High-resolution imagery to support surveyors, architects and property professionals.
Anything else you’d like to add? We’d love to bring our drones into schools, (where appropriate and safe to do so)to demonstrate how roof and aerial surveys are carried out. Showing students how data is collected, processed an transformed into reports and 3D model will help them understand the technology behind modern surveying. We also hope to encourage more girls and young people from all backgrounds to explore careers in geospatial surveying.
