Description
Starting in 2017 we began with our first geospatial exploration poster, and we’ve produced over 20 since then; all with different themes and supported by an array of geospatial businesses! Aimed approximately at children aged 8-12 years old, these posters provide a visually engaging base to stimulate questions and thoughts around geospatial careers. At the bottom of the posters there are 6 questions to promote further learning on the poster topic. This is complemented by a Q&A sheet which is viewable on the website. Our in house Teacher helps to create this copy and our designer makes them look awesome! Each poster has 10-12 companies sponsoring it who receive their logo on the footer, plus their own bespoke cartoon character which slots somewhere into the scene.
This massively helps us to achieve our mission; to get every child to understand the terminology of survey and geospatial (in every language globally) resulting in kids wanting to be part of the industry and reducing demand for skilled staff. But, what’s in it for you:
- You will receive a box of the finished poster to use in the office, at outreach events and with your own kids or community
- Creative input into the design of the poster, being able to highlight a specific surveying method, tool or scene
- Your bespoke brand cartoon character! Our sponsors get really creative with their character ideas, incorporating logos, location, equipment, animals or people! This can be used in your own marketing too and our network have reported really high engagement on their content using their GKiS character
- A Q&A style blog on the GKiS website and social channels featuring your character or company
- You can use the official GKiS Brand Sponsor logo on your website and marketing materials
- Knowing that you’re contributing to the future of the industry by helping us to showcase to the next generation what great opportunities there are in the geospatial industry
